It is approximately 200 kilometers (120 mi) east of Colombo and at an elevation of 1,041 meters (3,415 ft) above sea level. The area is rich in biodiversity and has many species of flora and fauna. How to reach Ella – Sri Lanka?
If you are coming from Bandaranaike International Airport, Colombo, you can easily find a taxi from the airport and the falls are about 240 km from the airport.
From Colombo city or Kandy (Peradeniya railway station), you should be able to take the train, and we recommend that you will have an unforgettable experience crossing the hills and tea plantations with spectacular landscapes. Ella is about 200 km from Colombo and about 130 km from Kandy.
